What are YOU Parent Modules?

The YOU Parent Modules are quick 15 minute videos that help parents support their child's school success.

We took curated content from our YOU, Your Child's First Teacher books and turned the information into videos.

The YOU modules and program aim to help parents support their child's academic, physical, social, and emotional success, and strive to build strong, trusting partnerships between home and school.

The Vision Behind YOU Parent

A 2014 message from our founder, Sunny P. Chico, whose belief in parent empowerment sparked a movement.

YOU, Your Child's First Teacher Program

A complete book series from the birth of your child through high school and beyond gives parents information and skills to support their child's success. Our training program teaches organizations how to use the program as a curricular resource to lead parent meetings, workshops, or events using the books.

YOU, Your Child's First Teacher began in 2013.

SPC Educational Solutions and Hermania Publishing published the YOU, Your Child's First Teacher program back in 2013. Originally written in Spanish, and later translated to English, YOU was written together with educational and healthcare professionals by Sunny Penedo Chico. The program has reached 7 states and thousands of parents and students since it was produced.
